In town for the Great Taste and wonder what you should be doing on Friday night? It has been a tradition for many years for visiting breweries to partner with local bars, restaurants, and breweries to showcase their excellent beers. Other places decide to have special beer tastings that night. Here are some events that we know about. Know about one that isn't listed? • The Alchemy will be hosting Upland.
• Barriques (West Wash.) will be having some special beers from Hinterland.
• Brasserie V: Special kegs from Shelton Brothers importers.
• Brickhouse BBQ: Thursday, a special dinner featuring Bell's beers. Friday: Beers from Central Waters and Shorts Brewing Company.
• The Come Back In will be hosting a GT pre-party for Lakefront Brewery from 4 until 9 p.m.
• The Cooper's Tavern Summit Brewing Company beers along with the brewmaster.
• Dexter's Pub: special selections from Pearl Street Brewery and Flying Dog.
• Drackenberg Cigar Bar - beers from Potosi Brewing Company
• Francesca's al Lago will be having a soiree (invitation) with Goose Island.
• Glass Nickel Pizza on Atwood feature beers from Founders Brewing.
• King and Mane:New Holland.
• The Haze: Several beers from Lagunitas Brewing Company.
• Jordan's Big 10: is holding a Great Taste of the West featuring special beer selections from New Belgium and Stone Brewing Company.
• Maduro will once again be hosting a large number of beers from Bell's. A list of the beers that are coming can be found here.
• The Malt House will be hosting several beers from O'so Brewing Company
• The Mason Lounge will be host to Crispin Cider
• Natt Spil - Lake Louie Brewing Company
• The Old Fashionedwill host the unveiling of Red Eye Brewing's new beer, El Tormento, an Imperial red ale starting at 5 p.m.
• Vintage Brewing Company: will have tours, tastings, their own beer and brewmaster, plus Furthermore Beer's full lineup in house starting at 6:00 p.m..
